I would suggest going to the bank, having him fill out a withdrawal slip, and getting $200 cash so this is a very concrete experience for him. Do it on the same day that he is getting the shoes. Have him add his "own money" to this to buy the shoes. Explain that there is NO MORE MONEY IN SAVINGS and he is now BROKE. Max will need to put more in later so he can buy things.
Tom, you are ticketed through HOPE for going up to ANC on the 17th and returning the 20th. This is a long time - I'm wondering if you have considered shortening it? I am going to fly in Wednesday night for an appointment on Thursday Morning, then back to YAK Friday morning. We can figure it out. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

ReplyDeleteMax Came in to the office this afternoon. He was in a great mood, dressed for summer (in shorts) and happy for the beautiful day. Today was the calmest I have ever seen Max, he seemed very happy. Thank You to all the staff that help Max achieve his dreams on a daily basis. I think he is excited to be part of the roller girls, and is looking forward to helping them with the bake sale tommorro.
